Dear Parents,
It is almost time for me to say good bye to these great kids. After spending nine months together, we’ve grown close (and I am sad). They are taller, heavier, wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were in September.
I wanted to thank you for taking the time to read the blog, sign all the forms sent home, for donating supplies, helping with homework, encouraging your child to read, and for supporting all my efforts this year. Mostly, thank you for loving these kids.
It has been my pleasure and privilege to watch them grow and mature. We have laughed, loved, lived, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I will always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do whoever they become. They are precious!
Thank You,
Mrs. Wagner

February 13-17th

Spelling: List 18 went home today. Test is Friday. I expect the majority of their studying to be done at home. Writing their words out on paper really helps them learn their words.

Middle School Block: Our group is moving to ELA with Mrs. Marquette. They are working on close reading skills, reading for comprehension, main idea, and parts of speech.

Math: We are testing on fractions on Monday. Doing IXL daily will help students retain the math skills learned. PLEASE log in for 10 minutes a night.

Writer's Workshop: We are finishing up our research papers on careers. Mid February we will do a poetry unit.

Reading: Battle of the Books is Tuesday! Students should finish up their books for the challenge. Also, keep the 40 book goal in mind. Many are reaching their goal already! Everyone needs to read nightly 20-30 minutes.

Valentine's Day: We are having a contest for the most creative, most Valentine-y and the best craftsmanship. bring your 23 valentines and a treat if you choose. It will be a great day!

Have a great weekend!
