Making time for Art~

These artists worked with oil pastels today, making owls.

Next week:
We start the writing process by choosing a seed idea & developing it.
We continue to build reading stamina, work on skills, and develop a list of reading interests.
In math, we'll finish unit 1 of area and volume with a test on Friday 9/29.  Practice your facts on ixl or flashcards.
Spelling week 2 test will be Friday 9/29
and much more...

I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know these kids! We had an awesome week learning!

We had a great week!

Our first spelling list was sent home today. Test Friday 9/22

Please continue to study multiplication facts with the cards you received. Knowing their multiplication facts is necessary to succeed in 5th grade math.

Reading 20-30 minutes nightly will help us reach our goal of 40 books this year. That is just a chapter book per week. We can do it!

Book orders are due Sept.22nd. Feel free to order online or send a check to school.

Have a great weekend!

Dear Parents,
It is almost time for me to say good bye to these great kids. After spending nine months together, we’ve grown close (and I am sad). They are taller, heavier, wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were in September.
I wanted to thank you for taking the time to read the blog, sign all the forms sent home, for donating supplies, helping with homework, encouraging your child to read, and for supporting all my efforts this year. Mostly, thank you for loving these kids.
It has been my pleasure and privilege to watch them grow and mature. We have laughed, loved, lived, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I will always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do whoever they become. They are precious!
Thank You,
Mrs. Wagner
